His Excellency Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has reiterated readiness of his administration to commence the process of constructing modern hostels and two new faculty buildings at the State University ADSU Mubi.
The Governor revealed this on Thursday while addressing students of the institution when he paid a surprise visit to the ADSU campus in Mubi.
The Governor said in a couple of weeks, work will commence in earnest on the campus as part of his earlier promise so as to make the institution the best in the country and restore its lost glory.
He assured the students that their security is paramount to his administration and he will do everything within his powers to provide them conducive and peaceful learning atmosphere.
He told the students that education is the surest way for their better future and for that the present administration will continue to accord it all the necessary support it deserves.
He added that it was because of his passion to education, that his administration recently averted the initial intention of ADSU lecturers to embarked on strike before the ongoing end of semester exams.
He declared that his administration has paid scholarship allowances to Adamawa students of institutions of higher learning and urged the them to be disciplined in their conduct.
He charged the students to reciprocate the efforts of government by facing their studies squarely and cooperate with the management of the institution for achievement of set objectives.
The Governor was taking round some hostels by the Acting Vice Chancellor of the varsity Professor Kalitapwa Farauta amid cheers by students, chanting sons of praise and gratitude to the Governor.
