The Taraba State Civil Service Commission under the auspices of the State Government has officially flagged off first phase of the Employment Exercise 2020 by issuing appointments letters to over three hundred successful applicants in the State at the Gym Hall Jolly Nyame Stadium, Jalingo, Taraba State.
Speaking on the event today as his representative, the Governor’s Deputy, Engr. Haruna Manu said the gainful employments of the teeming youths is in accordance to the rescue agenda of reforming the Commission which will help to expunge mediocrity and revamp the system. He explained that successful applicants were periodically selected from the Commission’s database and also, ‘there will be training packages to groom them on the regimen of the Public Service’, he added. Engr. Manu further charged the successful candidates to be responsible employees dedicated to their various duties.
Host of the programme, Chairman of Taraba Civil Service Commission, Chief John A. Mamman stated in his welcome address that the recruitment of the young employees is to fill in existing vacancies in selected MDAs that need immediate attention for effective service delivery in the state. He also stressed that the Commission, in line with the vision of the rescue Government of Arch. Darius Ishaku has developed programmes aimed at strengthening the capacities of civil servants for efficient and effective performance for the state.
In her closing remarks, Head of Service Taraba Civil Service Commission, Suzzy Jemima Nathan said the new employments will go a long way of relaxing the pressure of unemployment on the Commission.
