His Excellency, Arc. Darius Dickson Ishaku, Executive Governor of Taraba State has condemned the killing of Emmanuel Bileya, a pastor of the CRC-N Church, Mararaba, Donga LGA, and his wife Juliana.
Both of them were reportedly attacked by militia men and killed while working on their farm in Mararaba.
Through a press release by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mr. Bala Dan Abu, Gov. Ishaku condemned the killings as wicked and inhuman. He said killings of this nature has happened too often in the Southern Taraba communities and described the horrid situation as a deterrent to the on-going efforts of government to achieve lasting peace among communities in the area.
Ishaku expressed his sympathy with the surviving members of Pastor Bileya’s entire families as well as pastors and members of CRC-N in Mararaba where he served until his death.
He prayed for the repose of the souls of the victims.
