Taraba State Governor, Arc. Darius Ishaku has said it is the ultimate duty of a politician to be a problem solver especially in times of crisis.
Governor Darius Ishaku who stated this today at the Government House Jalingo while receiving the newly appointed Chiefs of Bali Local Government Area and reports of the Judicial Commission of inquiry into the Jole and Shomo crisis of Lau Local Government Area, Taraba State.
He said most crisis that erupted from the State are surmountable and wonder why brothers and sisters who inter-marry will take up arms against one another. He also urged Tarabans to embrace one another irrespective of tribe, religion or geographical spread.
Ishaku applauded Justice Silas Haruna who is the Chairman of the Judicial Commission of Inquiry for doing a meticulous job.
Earlier, Justice Silas said the report will help the State Government to finally end the turmoil between Jole and Shomo tribes of Lau Local Government Area.
Speaking on behalf of the new Chiefs of Bakundi and Jibu under Bali Local Government Area, Waziri of Bakundi, Mohammed Adamu who noted his heartfelt appreciation to the Governor for the appointments, said this can only be a product of benefitting from the call of peace which is the cornerstone of true development.
