US government has called for credible process in the forthcoming Ondo guber election – In a statement, the US government warned necessary stakeholders including INEC and security operatives against tampering with the democratic process – The government also reiterated its commitment towards ensuring a strong partnership between Nigeria and America

The government of the United States has charged all the stakeholders in Ondo to ensure that there is a free, fair, transparent, and peaceful election in the state.

This was contained in a statement released by the U.S mission in Nigeria on Tuesday, October 6, with less than five days to the election. Ondo state governorship election has been scheduled for Saturday, October 10, by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
