Skills Acquisition: ‘There is dignity in self-reliance’ – Anna Ishaku.

Wife of Taraba State Governor and CEO of Hope Afresh Foundation Taraba (HAFT), Barr. Anna Darius Ishaku has said that the will to succeed without depending on anybody is a value of being independent and enterprising. She expressed this today while hosting groups of successful Taraba trainees who were trained in fashion and design, cosmetics, makeup and Gele, baking and catering, welding amongst others.

Barr. Anna applauded some of her foundation partners who were key in the success testimonials of the trainees, Mrs. Elizabeth Wachap (Provost College of Agriculture) Jalingo, Taraba State Government through Ministry of Cooperative and Poverty Alleviation to list a few.

Earlier, Sani Ibrahim who trained under fashion and design and also Chairman of the visiting trainee committee, appreciated the governor’s wife for giving people of Taraba a chance to invest in themselves by finding a handiwork and not to depend on what only the government can give. He also appreciated HAFT project manager, Mrs. Helen Douglas for making sure they can make a living from the trainings achieved as entrepreneurs.

Other highlights of the event was Award Presentation by Association of Jalingo Trainees to CEO of Hope Afresh Foundation Taraba, Anna Darius Ishaku and outpour of testimonials from the trainees who have become successful business owners.

Commissioner of Cooperative and Poverty Alleviation, Permanent Secretary Bureau for local government and chieftaincy affairs, wives to Taraba State House of Assembly members and other notable guests all graced the event.
