The ICT Unit Hope Afresh Foundation Taraba was established in November 2015 with the aim of projecting, managing the image of the foundation, providing technical support and to properly disseminate information to the public about the foundation through the use of the websites and social media platforms.

List of Activities from 2016 till date:


  • Creation of with over 23,200 followers within and outside Taraba State.
  • Management and correspondence of the foundation’s website.
  • Online reporting of foundation’s activities within and outside the State.


  • Participation on Google Digital Skills training programme organised by Cedar Networks Limited.
  • Data collection for the development of Taraba State government website.
  • Development of Taraba State government website with address
  • Hope Afresh Foundation Taraba team in partnership with NITDA and under the tutelage of Her Excellency participated in the Global City Team Challenge (GCTC) which resulted in Jalingo being selected among three (3) cities to win a Leadership Award and Ten Thousand Dollars ($10,000) cash prize for their initiative in using Internet of Things (IoT) for a security apparatus called the Internet of Things IDP based tracking and monitoring system.
  • Participated in the 3rd Smart City General Assembly in Ulyanovsk, Russia for World Smart Sustainable Cities Organization (WeGO).
  • Attended the 5th General Stakeholders meeting of the National Council on Communication Technology with the theme; Harnessing ICT as the main tool for driving the Economic recovery and growth plan where the team were able to create a memorandum in order to establish ICT Hubs in all the Local Government Areas of the Federation.
  • Digital marketing, online reputation management and correspondence.
  • Online reporting of foundation’s activities within and outside the State.
  • Successful online coverage of Taraba Carnival.


– Creation of ICT training section of the Hope Afresh Skills Acquisition Centre (HASC).

– Trained about 53 male and 35 female participants in Basic Computer training and digital marketing.

– Developed a news website with an address

– Design and development of an e-learning platform donated to Taraba State Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education for online learning with total records of over 12,567 student’s visitors and over 358 app downloads.

– Training of Focal Point staff of the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education to step down to various educational zones of the State.

– In-house training of senior Staff of the foundation on the use of basic computer tools.
